Trenitalia Seat Reservations

Hello all, newbie to Italian rail travel here.

A group of three will be traveling by train on a multi-country European trip. For this, we have purchased a "4-country Select" Eurail pass. I understand that seat reservations are required on the Italian "IC" train (in this instance, from Milan to Ventimiglia), and when I went to reserve said seats on the Trenitalia website, the only railpass "offer" that came up was "Global Pass." As Italy is one of the countries on our Select pass, is this okay to choose? The reservation fee (per person) is 3 Euros, which seems to be in line. Also, would anyone happen to know if the Milan to Ventimiglia route ought to be crowded the week before Easter?

Any help is appreciated.

If you get seat reservations, it does not matter how crowded it will be, you got seats.
I've never used a Eurail pass, but it should make no difference. You have a valid pass and you have paid seat reservations with the carriage number and seat numbers, you should be good to go.

Seat reservations are also compulsory on the high speed Freccia trains. I don't believe that Italo Treno or a few of the other rail lines will accept Rail passes.
