I booked online for a couple of our train routes. On one leg(Roma Termini-Firenze S M Novella traveling on Oct 4) I was not able to select seats. It never gave me the option. I'm guessing either the they don't allow you to select on that particular route (they automatically assigned us seats), or maybe capacity is such that only center seats left or ??). Does anyone know if you can contact them to see if they can exchange for window seats?

Hi Melinda. My suggestion would be to just wait and see; there likely will be empty seats that you can move to. If not, and it's important, ask somebody to switch seats - it's a good ice breaker! Enjoy your trip!

There are no center seats. All 2x2 in second class. Are you sure it is not a regional train..

Something was lost in the translation. Center is probably an aisle seat. First class is 2x1 and second is 2x2 so there is no center seat as you find on an airplane.

Center might refer to the section of the train car? Freccia Argento is a fast train, enjoy the ride.
