Wondering if anybody has seen something similar to this. My wife and I will be travelling mid May from Venice down to Naples and then car service to Sorrento. We've been to Italy multiple times over the past few years, so we're familiar with train travel and have never had any issues.
For our current trip however, we have a Trenitalia train reserved for Friday May 19 (Train 9413), departing Venice S. Lucia at 10:26 and arriving at Napoli Centrale at 15:48. We booked these tickets a few months back to use the early discount rates, no issue.
After booking I'd periodically check, and that train changed to "sold out" for quite a while, which I've read can be normal as tickets are being released/finalized, so I wasn't too worried.
Yesterday though, that train now doesn't show up as an option at all leaving from Venice, and instead there's a local train departing Venice at 10:10, and then connecting to the 9413 in Padova and continuing to Naples.
Our original tickets (Venice straight to Naples) are still showing up in the App, and don't show as being cancelled or changed. I'm just worried that there's something funky going on that I'd rather resolve early so I can change our Venice and Naples transfers accordingly.
Planning on contacting Trenitalia as well to double check, but figured I'd check here and see if anybody had been through something similar and I was just over thinking it.
