Trenitalia Rome to Naples

Hi, I am looking at the Trenitalia site and want to purchase high speed train tickets from Rome to Naples. Our Hotel is not far from the Vatican and I see there are several train stations to choose from. Can someone please advise me if the Roma Termini station is the best option to choose? I also see several locations in Naples. Which train station is the best location to arrive at if we are hiring a driver to go to Sorrento when we arrive?

The Circumvesuviana is not air conditioned. The Campania Express is.

The Circumvesuviana is fine except do not go on it during rush hour (morning and evening).

It's not necessary to buy Circumvesuviana tickets ahead of time; in fact, I kind of think the only place you can buy them is inside the station. The fare never changes, and there are no assigned seats, so buying a ticket in advance would gain nothing.

The name of the Circumvesuviana train stop that’s located in the basement of Napoli Centrale is Napoli Garibaldi. Sorrento is the end of line so it does not matter how many stops since you’ll get off with everyone else. It takes 1h 15m from Napoli Garibaldi to Sorrento.
