Trenitalia or thetrainline europe

I tried to book ticket for december from Milan to Venezia then from venezia to Rome, but the thing is no schedule in the morning for thos train in trenitalia while in the trainline europe there is a morning schedule. What is the different between those train? Both of them have a reserve seat and i am sure it is not a regional train. Due to the time permitted i would like ti have all morning train. Please advise, what did i do wrong on trenitalia. And is it ok ti buy at trainline europe. I am aware the price is higher when i input ages. Is over 30 in italy should buy at higher price?

For Trenitalia, they only book out 120 days, so December 14 is as far out as they sell tickets. They operate the trains, and they will have a train every hour (just about) from Milan to Venice in the morning. Trainline Europe is a travel agency and they operate no trains. There will be a Europe-wide schedule change on December 14, so Trenitalia has not completed its Winter schedule yet. Trainline might sell you a ticket outside of that date because they know Trenitalia will probably not change the schedule by much, but you will be riding on a Trenitalia train. Ok, it might be a Italotreno train, which has fewer departures and departs from Porta Garibaldi station, not Milano Centrale.
Trenitalia has trains to Venice S.L. from Milano Centrale at 7:05, 8:05, 9:05, 9:35, 10:35, 11:35, 12:05. Wait a month or so and you will probably get a Super Economy 9 euro 2nd class fare.

I'm looking at the 10th of December from 0600 from Milano Centrale to Venezia Santa Lucia (spelling counts) and see €9 fares on the 7:05, 8:05, 8:35, and 9:05 among others.

I use a different entry point because I am registered with Trenitalia and my cookies send me to La Freccia website but I can assure you that they are there.

You didn't say when the Rome trip was so I didn't check.

I'm sorry, but I don't know what you did wrong. I can only assume that you thought you had changed the hour of departure but hadn't and it defaulted to Italian time.

The Trainline is a third party reseller.

Buy from Trenitalia, or use capitaintrain if you must use a reseller.

another vote for capitainetrain.com Some people have had trouble getting their credit card accepted on the trenitalia site, but it worked smoothly for us on the capitainetrain site. They get paid a commission by the carrier, so the price is the same as buying direct.

Yes, capitatrain.com works perfectly. It is so much easier to use. Anyway, do you know that trenitalia cooporate with tnt for the luggage transfer. The detail explanation is in italian on tnt website. Anybody use this service before? Is it realible? If this service is possible, i want to change my plan become Milan-Verona-Venice-Rome-Florence all in 6 days. From my first plan, milan venice verona milan due to baggage consideration. Is it possible to have my baggage transfer directly to Florence or Rome. How does it works? Please advise.

I don't know how luggage transfer works with Trenitalia. I've never heard of anybody actually using it. A similar program is used in Switzerland which works very well but it has nothing to do with a third party like TNT, it is all within the Swiss Railways.

Generally with all trains in Europe, you are responsible for moving your own luggage through train stations, getting your luggage up into the train, and getting put in the designated area, or between the "A" formed by the back of your seat and the one behind, or above your head. And then all in reverse when you get off the train. Don't dawdle getting off, the train may not be in the station for very long.

This is all an excellent argument for traveling light.

Can you share with us your situation - and why you would need your luggage moved for you?

I am gonna be in europe for 3 weeks, and since it is gonna be in winter i am sure i am gonna bring a big luggage and one cabin size. As you mention in swiss the problem already solved since i will transfer my luggage from zurich to tirano and travelling light in swiss. If in italy this situation can be the same so it will be so much easier for me.

I recall seeing ads for luggage transfer service by Trenitalia, but I have never used it. I have traveled for almost three months during the summer and for three weeks in winter with one 20" rolling carryon and a Civita daypack. If I can't carry it, it's not going, although I know this doesn't work for everyone.

You might want to look at some suggested packing lists to see if you can get more use out of what you bring. Unless, of course, you need to take special activity gear or event clothes.
