Hey there! Anyone have any experience with the Me&You tickets Trenitalia offers? They seem to be to just be discounts for traveling as a pair, but they are so much cheaper that I’m wondering if I’m missing something. Are there any hidden requirements or something? Looking at purchasing 2 or 3 train rides in advance of our trip at the end of this month and they seem like the best options.

It's a "no changes & no refunds" fare.
Since the discount is between 20 and 50% off the BASE fare, sometimes a couple of SuperEconomy tickets could be cheaper. You must do the math any time, but be aware that trenitalia.com always displays the price per group of passengers, not per person.

Hi, I used that offer for a few of my adult daughter & my tickets in September. As Dario mentioned, I usually purchase my tickets a month before my trip, so some of the tickets were Super Economy, but a few were this option. There’s no hidden requirement - just like the Super Economy type, so no changes once you buy them. Since I always switch locations with an approximate 8am train, unless I can’t travel, it’s no issue to purchase ahead of time.

I had booked "me and you" fares myself and they "worked." I didn't have to change any part of my itinerary though, so didn't also have to learn how to deal w/ any change/cancellations.
Also, as of a few days ago, Italo was running a similar promotion called "Italo Friends." I booked Rome > Florence, and Florence > Venice on Italo with their "Italo Friends" promotion. It was ~10-20 Euros cheaper than Trenitalia's Me&You at the time of my booking for the lowest class seats.
