Help... I am trying to purchase our tickets from Rome to Naples and when I get to the final page where it asks for credit or paypay, I click on credit and continue and twice it has put me to the " Advanced Search page" to then start -- everything all over again.. At the top in red it says " Error Code 291 Any one of the data entered is not valid"
Does anyone know why this keeps happening? I am choosing the unregistered user is this possibly the reason?

Not being registered probably is not the issue. What is your travel date? You cannot book more than 120 days in advamce.
I too have had some problems with trenitalia online tickets. I am just going to buy my train tickets at the station shortly before catching the train. Others have posted on this site that it is not difficult to buy tickets just before the train leaves. You may not get the super economy price, but you can still get a ticket. So, I am not worried.
Same thing happened to me trying to buy Venice to Florence. Ended going with Italo train instead. But when I went to buy Florence to Rome it was no problem. Never did figure out why. Good luck.

Try this: when you are entering the passenger information, do not enter everyone's email addresses. Just put the names. Then put your email address at the end where you want the confirmation emailed. This same thing happened to me and I was able to purchase the ticket when I made that change. Other people have had luck with this as well. good luck!
I tried one more time and when I got in it said all seats were booked around all times I was looking for, the trip isn't until mid Sept. I finally waited for a few hours and used a different computer to log in and it finally worked fine???
I was within the 120 days, so I think it was just an issue with their website. Frustrating....
