Tried to make train reservations on Trenitalia site. Figured out the Postal code, Province code but could not figure out Fiscal Code. Because of this, I could not book reservations. Is it best to go through a reservation agency? If so, which?
Or is there a secret to unlocking Trenitalia?

I recently booked tickets on the Trenitalia site, but I don't remember having to enter a fiscal code. Did you register on the site before trying to book tickets?

I agree with Tim, I registered on the site. I don't remember a Fiscal Code either. Are you checking off the "need invoice" box? I did not do that.

Thank you for your reply. I did register...3 times...I continued to get a invalid password notification.
Since then we have found another route- ItaliaRail. I have been able to book my first leg, but other dates are not open yet.

Paige, it may be that you don't need to keep trying to register. The first step is to follow their procedure to change your password as soon as you get it. If you don't follow that part of their procedure it won't work. Change it following their procedure and you will be golden. Be careful about using resellers who use similar names.

I thought about needing to change the password, but could not find the route to do so. Could you hold my hand?
Also, are you suggesting Italiarail.com may not be legit?

I received an email from trenitalia with a link in it to change my password and confirm my registration. However, yesterday and today, the site has decided that it doesn't like my credit card... after letting me buy tickets for 3 different trips just 2 days ago. Good luck Paige!
