Trenitalia - Changing a name on a ticket

Hi
My husband and I just booked a series of tickets for Naples-Florence-Pisa-Monterosso for early September. Despite thinking that I'd typed in our names correctly (maybe Chrome auto corrected this for us) both seats on all of the tickets are in my husband's name. I'm listed as the ticket purchaser and it's my Trentitalia account. Of course we bought the Super Economy tickets and so now there seems to be no way to change one of the tickets to my name via the website. Unfortunately there wasn't a final screen that let me review all those details before I confirmed the purchase. Trenitalia's chat function isn't available right now. As soon as the purchase cleared and I saw the confirmation I noted the problem. So it's absolutely been less than 24 hours since I made the purchase; barely 24 minutes! It's 3 am over there and 9pm here. Is there going to be a way for me to change one of those tickets to my name using their Chat feature tomorrow morning or will I just need to buy myself a separate ticket and let my husband enjoy his two seats?

No worries. It is not like airplane travel where each name must match the seats. All train tix we have purchased have only one name listed, even when I bought tix for four people. There is no space on the ticket to list the other names.

Board the train and take the seats. Names are not checked.

Ditto.

The same happened to me last night! Reading all of these replies makes me feel better. Sounds like they don't check the tickets for your name, only that you have a valid ticket. Whew!

Easier to blow up a plane than a train so they don't care who's name is on the ticket. All the tickets are done that way. They do not maintain a "No ride" list for trains and there is no check-in for trains. Life is easy on a train. However, I have been asked to produce the credit card used to purchase the ticket. I think it was Italy but it was a while back so I always have the card.
