Hi--bought tickets, have itinerary but just saw receipt/voucher. what do I need to get on the train? I have assigned seats. I have PNR and CP #s. Grazie.

Martha, you have all you need. Board the train and find your assigned seat. Occasionally there may be people in your seat but they will relocate. The 6-digit PNR number is the magic ticket here. The conductors are equipped with wireless PDAs. They scan the internet icon on your ticket and match up the PNR number.

Hi Martha. To echo Larry's info - if your journey is within Italy, your ticket is electronic; stored in Trenitalia computer system; and there is no check in process or anything else to do before you board the train. Simplest approach is to print your receipt that shows your PNR # and assigned seats, and show it to the conductor when they come through the train sometime during the journey. Enjoy your trip!

I thought I had come across an article or posting on here stating you need to use some sort of yellow kiosk located in the train stations to get your actual tickets, even if you paid for your ticket via the trenitalia website?
