Trenitalia Booking Question

Hi all, I just made a few train reservations and realized I put in the wrong birthday (day, no year) for my nephew's ticket. Is that a big deal? Do I contact them to change it? I was trying to be so careful with dates and locations and messed that up.

I am not the expert, so others might correct me. But, as I recall when making reservations last year, the date of birth was just used to determine whether or not one of my children qualified for a lower fare. We never had to show id when boarding the trains, just tickets.

Should not be a problem unless you said he was 8 and he's really 18. :-)

The actual birthdate you entered won't appear in any record. The cut-off age to qualify for a child discount on Trenitalia is usually under 15, so that's all the conductor will look for if checking ID onboard
