Trenitalia Bistro Cars suspended?

Hoping one of our Italian contributors can comment. We took a Frecciarossa 1000 from Venice to Torino the other day with an 08:18 departure and a 3.5 hour journey time. Having only had one tiny espresso prior to boarding I was looking forward to having a couple more on board to keep my general caffeination level where I like it. No go! The complimentary beverage service was a box of water and a small bagged snack. No coffee! There was no bar car/bistro either!

I noticed two more Frecciarossa trains in the Torino station and neither had a bistro car. Did they suspend that service due to COVID? The Swiss, Germans, and French still serve food on board.

Thanks, Kathy. I Googled and poked around the TI site to no avail! In fact there are places on the site tht would make you believe all was normal. Annoying.

On the TGV from Torino to Paris the bistro was not open for the first part of the trip. We got on at 10:08 and about 11 I went seeking coffee as I saw someone else had it. When I saw it was closed I poked my head in the service door and asked the woman (luckily I could charm her in Italian) if there was any chance of getting two coffees. Basically she sold them out the back door. I suspect the facility was not to be open until we got to France. Another confusing bit of travel in Europe right now.
