Was playing around with the Trenitalia app for an upcoming trip, and when I punched in the dates and preferred times, it came up with a bunch of options with the note : "This travel solution refers to the next day".
What's that all about if I'm searching for June 8, 2025 at 10:00.

Where are you searching for? I just checked Roma Termini to Firenze SMN and found plenty of options.
Having said that, it could be a couple of things: tickets haven't been loaded in yet for that journey (tickets typically get loaded in less than 3 months in advance) or there may be engineering works planned on the line.

There appears to be a time zone glitch and the system changes the search time you select to Italy time.

Yeah, I started looking and found the info on the Seat 61 website. That website is so invaluable.
I haven't used the app lately but there was a period where the website used your local time as the start time regardless of what you asked for. They fixed it after a week or so but it was super confusing until they fixed the GUI.
If something similar is happening the workaround until they fix it is to search the day before you want and keep asking for later times until it shows you the morning of the next day that you really wanted. Obviously way less than ideal but there's usually a workaround until they get it fixed.
Given how many people use the trains and willing Italians are to vigorously express their frustrations I'm sure Trenitalia is keep well informed when these things happen after an update. ;)
