Travelling in September 2011

We are planning a trip to Italy in mid September 2011 for 2 weeks for hubby's 50th. We love CT and are planning to go back for more time there. Wnat to spend 5 days in Naples/Amalfi area and head for CT. What's best/fastest way - train? Also, what's the best flight connection out of CT back to Miami - Milan, Pisa?

Fly into Rome. Train to the Amalfi. Train from the Amalfi to the CT. Fly back from either Pisa or Milan- Milan is usually cheaper and offers more direct connections.
