TRAVELLING FROM GENOA TO VERNAZZA - WHAT IS THE BEST WAY? also accommodation in Vernazza

Does anyone who has been there, have any advice, also best places to stay and accommodation? Are the other towns worth staying at? Thanks. we are planning on travelling early June hopefully before it is too busy but would a bit later still be ok?

Some regional trains run directly from Genoa/Genova to Vernazza and others require one connection, the location of which will vary with the departure time. Looking Up Train Schedules and Routes Online gives you the DB train schedule link and tips for using it; these schedules are easy to print and to view the whole day. Same info plus pricing and ticket sales are available at www.trenitalia.com. If you care about which station you depart from in Genoa, then you can name it; otherwise use the plain city name. If you're coming from the airport, then buses serve Principe and Brignole stations.

Each of the five towns has its charm and connections between them are quick. Rick's favorite accommodations are described in his guidebook. But see what's available before you get your heart set on a specific choice.

Raewyn, any of the five villages are fine to stay in although Corniglia is a little more more difficult to get to. Yes, it will be very busy in June and throughout the summer so making your reservations as soon as possible is highly advised.
