We are traveling with our 2 kids (7 and 11) to Rome and Sorento in October. Any advice on good Airbnbs in Rome or hotels in Sorrento? Would like to be around a 1,500 for three nights if possible.
*updated to remove reference to pool. Was thinking my kids would still be interested but sounds like pools are generally not heated. Thanks for the tip!

Oct is not good pool weather in Rome so you may want to rethink that requirement.
In Rome, we loved this apartment for 4 nights and would happily stay there again:
Only one 3-night period in October is still available. Under $900 for 3 nights.
This other apartment, close to where we stayed, is where our son, daughter-in-law, and 2 kids stayed on the same 4 nights (Dec 31st 2023 to Jan 4th 2024) ---- they recommend it, too. All of October 2026 looks available for $1,124.
We've stayed at a very nice hotel in Sorrento one October some years ago that had a pool. I see that it's still seeing excellent reviews.

As Frank said though, October isn't really pool season so while we enjoyed the lawn and seating around the pool - nice spot for a post-sightseeing adult beverage - we never saw anybody in it during our 3-day stay.
Another issue is that most European pools are not heated. Heating is very expensive. Maybe small pool at a 5 star hotel but large out door pools are not.
