Traveling to Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast with a 7 month old

We will be in Sorrento from 12sept thru 19sep. We are looking to stay in Sant' Agata and we would like to do the whole trip without a rental car.

We arrive in Naples aroung noon on the 12th and would like to travel by boat to Sorrento then either bus or taxi to Sant' Agata. The only touristy things we have planned is Pompei for a day and exploring the whole coast from Sorrento to Salerno.

Does anyone have any advice for us? Is public transportation with an infant possible? Is Sant' Agata a good base for us? I heard there was snorkeling in the area. Should I bring my mask and fins? Will I be able to connect my laptop in any cyber cafes in Sant' Agata?

unless you rent a car of your own, the public transportation will be hard on your baby. you'll find it very crowed and you may not have a seat of your own. you should also leave your laptop at home, just use the cyber cafes instead.
