Traveling from the Naples airport to Capri

We have some friend who are flying into Naples (from London) and then will join us on Capri. I assume that they can take a taxi from the airport too the appropriate ferry terminal and then take the ferry to Capri. Any suggestions to make this easier and how long might it take? It depends when a ferry might leave I'm sure.

15 minutes by taxi or 30 minutes by bus from NAP airport to the ferry port. Then 50 minutes by ferry to Capri.

Unless they have the sort of budget that allows for heli-transfer (https://www.capri-helicopters.com/en/transfers-and-routes) I'll concur with Kenko: taxi to the port, and then ferry to Capri.

When they get to the island they may need to have their luggage portered to the hotel (fee) depending on where it is. How best to get to the hotel themselves from the port also may depend on where it is. Capri island is largely pedestrian so unless staying down near the port, getting to upper Capri or Anacapri involves assorted combos of funicular+ walk, bus to main piazzas +walk; taxi to main piazzas +walk or taxi direct to hotels located on the few main roads.

It sounds like you already know where you're staying so have figured out how to get there?

Thank you for the information. Per RS Italy, it is fixed fee fare from the airport to the Ferry Port. 11 euros a couple of years ago. We have found a hotel and I assume that they can arrange a pickup from the port. Thanks again!

I would confirm before making that assumption? We had to walk to ours some years ago (Hotel Marmela; portered our bags) from the piazza in Capri as that's the closest a taxi could get to it. What hotel is it?

According to Capri.com:
"Most hotels, villas, and holiday homes in Capri offer a luggage porter service. Many of these accommodations are located in pedestrian-only areas where you can only get there on foot. You can leave your luggage with the porters located at the hydrofoil or ferry exit. They'll take your luggage directly to your accommodation.

Luggage porter service can be booked through your hotel or directly at the port, where the porters are stationed with their trolleys. The porter will take your luggage and give you an ID tag. The porter will then take your luggage to your destination (hotel, villa, or any other structure) and you can walk to your destination without needing to worry about hauling your luggage with you."
