Our tour ends the morning of Oct. 6 (Monday)and we are going to Sicily to pickup another tour. The transfer time in Catania is 10AM and 12 Noon. How can I best get to Rome airport in time to catch an early enough flight so we don't lose a day?

Philip, your message is confusing. Is your first tour ending in Sperlonga? If yes, what time? What do you mean by "transfer time"? What airline are you flying? Windjet? BluExpress? Airone? What time does your flight depart?
I can see the train schedule from Sperlonga to Rome FCO airport for 10/6. CLICK HERE to see it. But I don't know if this is what you want. Please clarify.

I am trying to squeeze the most time out of this trip. The second tour starts the next day but they have 3 times to transfer us from Catania airport to Taormina. If I get the last time it will leave me little time to explore on my own. therefore, if I can leave Rome on the earliest flight I could make the ist transfer time. The 1st tour leaves Sperlonga early and gets us to Rome between 7 and 7:30 but not in enough time before any of the flights of the major air lines going to Catania.(I believe you need at least 1 1/2 hours to check in).
so I was thinking of getting to Rome airport on my own by leaving earlier.

Philip, you are wise to get to FCO 1.5-2.0hrs early for a domestic flight.
