Traveling from Sorrento to Rome on a Sunday in early June-to book train/bus ahead or not?

Our party of 4 with carry on size luggage will be traveling from Sorrento to Rome to start our RS Italy tour in early June. Should we book our train tickets to Rome from Naples in advance or wait until we reach the station in Naples? We will likely take the Curreri bus from Sorrento back to Naples Airport and head to train station from there. We don't want to take the Circumvesuviana train with luggage and teens. This will also be the weekend after Republic Day so not sure if the trains will be more crowded due to local travelers. Any suggestions are much appreciated. We have to be in Rome by 3 p.m. so expect we need to leave Sorrento early morning. Thanks!

You can buy tickets at the station in Napoli, even on Sunday there are a couple of trains every hour, on Trenitalia or Italotreno.
