6 of us will be traveling from Milan to Montrossa, CQ arriving in Milan at 8:30 am. Should I book tickets on line or purchase at train station ? I see that there is a 12:10 from Milan but would appreciate if you could guide us as best safest way to get there. Is it best to get ticket once we arrive or I advance? Cash or credit card as I am confused by the chip and pin comments.

Buy it at the Malpensa Aeroporto station when you get there.
It's hard to predict how long it will take you to get from the airport to Milano Centrale. Too many variables may cause flight delays or delays at the baggage claim/immigration.

The station names are MALPENSA AEROPORTO and MONTEROSSO
Please check your spelling. Some people got badly lost because of misspelled city names (like the couple who wanted to go to Capri but misspelled it and entered Carpi in their GPS navigator).
You can pay for tickets with cash or credit cards. Some automatic ticket vending machines accept only chip and pin cards, but you can use any cards at the ticket window in an in person transaction. Automatic machines accept cash bills.
