Does anyone know the best way to go from Rome to Pesaro? I checked
the Italian train schedule but didn't know the name of the Rome station?
Does anyone know the pluses and minuses between traveling by train or bus?
Thank you for your response.

I took a quick look at Rome2Rio.com, and it appears that the train will be faster. Use Roma Termini as the outbound station.
I generally consider trains to be more comfortable than buses, with more freedom to stand and stretch your legs, if desired. Buses can be cheaper, but I usually only consider them if the bus schedule is actually better for me. The number of different bus operators means it's always an issue to find schedules, even with the latest internet resources.
On this route, trains take about 4 hours with a connection at Bologna. Since it's partly by high-speed train, a bus probably won't be any faster, if there is a direct bus. Although it doesn't sell tickets for Italy, the DB link at How to Look Up Train Schedules and Routes Online can be very handy.
Thank you for your responses. They are a huge help.

I am in Pesaro now, take the train from Roma Termini. Note that if you enter "Tutte le Stazione", the website will choose or recommend the station you need (there may be more than one that will serve your itinerary).
I made my reservations via the train. Thank you for your response. Enjoy your time in Pesaro!
