Has anyone heard any updates on the travel visa requirement and the ETIAS website. Right now the website to get a visa is not working and says it may be up and running mid 2025.

Nothing is running -- so far. Probably a big splash when and if they ever get the system running.

What specific visa are you concerned about? Don't confuse a visa with the ETIAS or the UK ETA. There is no start date for the ETIAS yet.

Again, the ETIAS will not be up and running until the EES is implemented and even then it will be at least six months following the implementation of EES. The latest I’ve seen, I don’t have the link for where I saw it, says that EES will be implemented in late November 2025 and ETIAS will be implemented approximately six months later, in May 2026. You’ve got nothing to worry about for this year, for sure, so don’t even think about it.

Entry/Exit System is currently not in operation.
It is due to start later in 2025. The European Union will inform about the start of the EES several months prior to its launch.

No action is required from travellers at this point.
