We are traveling to Venice/Rome/Sicily in September and plan to spend 3 nights in Taormina and 3 nights in Palermo. We want to do daytrips out of Palermo - particularly interested in Erice. We are also contemplating seeing Siracusa on a daytrip out of Taormina.
Can anyone please suggest hotels in Palermo and comment on the Hotel Schuler in Taormina? We are trying to make our reservations this week.
Also, would love feedback as to sites to see in and around Palermo.
