We are planning a trip to Rome this spring around the Easter weekend. Anyone know if the hotel prices increase during this time and how crowded the major tourist sites may be?
It is one of the busiest seasons of the year so the hotels will be charging the high season rates. The vatican will be extremely busy during holy week. The other sites will also be busy but you'll find the largest crowds around St. Peter's and the other churches in Rome. Donna
John, I don't know about the hotel prices, but the major tourist sites do get quite crowded at Easter. However, don't let that deter you--the weather is usually lovely in April!
