My husband is going to Chieti on business mid-November, flying into Rome first, and I have a chance to go along. Looking for advice on weather it's worth it to go to Rome in November or to wait for another chance with better weather? Thanks!
Personally I would never pass up a chance to go to Rome, and although November can be damp and rainy, it can still be a great trip. How much time will you have, and how important is the weather for you (if it's raining/cold for a few days, would that make your stay a disappointment)?
Over the years' prior to my wife retiring from teaching,we have done several trips to Rome in late November(Thanksgiving holiday)while I was in the EU on business.
Our weather experience has only seen showers intermittenly on one trip, on the others its been cool and bright. One thing that is really awesome in Rome in November is the Starlings acrobatics at twilight over the city. If you have a telephoto lens, take it, and enjoy.
Thank you for your encouragement and some background on November weather experience! If I go with, would be there about 5-6 days and then head back while he works in Chieti.
