Travel to Portofino

Exit the A12 freeway at Rapallo and follow the directions to Santa Margherita Ligure - Portofino. You can drive to Portofino, although there are traffic and parking restrictions for non residents and you won't be able to drive right into the harbor (open to residents only). You need to leave your car at the pay covered carpark just past the bus stop in the piazza. You could also leave the car for free along the way between S.M.L. and Portofino near the discotheque for the rich and famous (Covo di Nord Est) and walk (it's a long walk though). That's what I used to do in youth (especially on weekends when it's impossible to find parking in Portofino), but that was a long time ago and I don't remember if more recently the parking there is still available for free.
