Travel to Maniago, Rome, and Palermo

We plan to visit Italy next Spring. Our goal is to visit Maniago (where my grandmother was from), Rome, then Palermo. I know that covers a lot of distance. Is this feasable, and if so does anyone have a strategy to pull this off. How many days to make this work?
Thank you

It depends on how much you want to see in Sicily, anything aside from Palermo? I hate to fly and hop scotch, but that’s the best way unless you have weeks to ride the train.
Play around with flights to see what works for you—multicity variations that include all three (checking northern airports that put you close to Maniago, like Venice, Milan since there are many flights there).

About halfway down this trip report is my info of my 5 days in Palermo. I flew RT to Palermo from Rome.
