Travel Skirt?

We'll be traveling in Italy in October, and I'd like to bring a black, midi-length skirt that won't easily wrinkle. I'm only 5'1", and most of the skirts I've seen go almost to my ankles, even though they claim to be midi's; I think I really need a petite. Anyone have any suggestions?

Just purchase one you like and have it shortened, that’s what I do.

RipSkirt Hawaii has a classic black. You can choose amongst 5 lengths.

you might try Amazon.

I believe that they have a way of virtually trying on clothing although I have never used it.

You can also try to find a black skirt that might work on Amazon. You can narrow down what you are looking for. You can read reviews and ask questions.

If you are 5 feet one inch, you are a petite.

EDITED. I went to Amazon and put in Black Skirt for Travel. I got a very lot of results

I have length 2 and length 3 from Ripskirt. I am 5'4" and the length 3 goes below my knees--I would say not quite to mid calf.

I am shorter than you and purchased this skort. It's a bit heavier material than most of my other travel clothes so it dries slower, but the fabric is such that it held up longer with spot cleaning and didn't need a deep washing as often.

There are many stores that sell petite-sized garments, so if you don't want to mess with hemming something, look for those. Eileen Fisher has wonderful clothes that are great for travel and they carry petite sizes. They are pricey but can be found on sale. Ann Taylor, Talbots, Lands End, Eddie Bauer and my personal travel favorite, Chicos, all carry petite sizes.

Rip skirt is my favorite travel skirt: https://ripskirthawaii.com/. I’m barely 5’0’ tall and have several of the shortest skirt (1) that I love. I also have the second shortest (2) that I like too and will buy that length again the next time I buy another rip skirt. Expect the shortest length to touch the middle of your thigh.
These wrap around wrinkle free skirts can be a bit of a pain when doing laundry because there are a couple of Velcro strips causing other clothes to attach to it. Also, the skirt size tends to run larger.

I love the skorts from JJill! I am your same height and know the struggle, but these fit really nice and are a good length.

Since the Hawaii Ripskirts are made of high quality swimsuit fabric, I just handwash them in the sink, and they dry quickly. Then the velcro won’t snag your other clothing.
