Can anyone recommend a travel service that can help me with some reservations while I am in Rome, such as reservations to the Borghese Gallery and purchasing train tickets for day trips out of Rome? I know my hotel will be able to provide some travel services, but it would also be nice to hook up with an agency that provides travel services. Thank you.

You can do much of this on your own. If you are specific with where you are going, this site people will help you. For example there is a direct site for the bourghese... easy. train tickets you would just purchase at the terminal...but learn how to use theautomated machines so you dont have to wait in long lines.

You can purchase tickets to the Borghese gallery at: http://www.ticketeria.it/ticketeria/borghese-regolamento-eng.asp Click on the telephone at the left to have them call you back for free. You can buy your train tickets at any travel agency with the trenitalia logo. If you buy them at least the day before travel you qualify for the "mini" fares if any are still available. You can also get them at the termini station before or the day of travel. It's very easy and something you don't need to pay someone else to do unless you wish to. There is a counter service you can use to buy the tickets but the lines can be long. There are also self service kiosks. These are very easy to use, just like an ATM machine. Donna
