Travel plugs for Italy

Morning! We are traveling to Italy and we currently have a two prong type C plug converter. However, we are seeing some three prong Type L converter plugs for Italy.
Which do we need??

Thank you!!

Just an FYI addition to this thread. We were in Umbria two weeks ago; I had some type C adapters for my US 2-prong plugs (for charging phones) and a "Continental Europe" adapter for my 3-prong laptop charger. The type C 2-prong adapters worked fine. But (silly me)-- I thought the Continental Europe beefy adapter would work in Italy (I used it in Paris just a few months ago. ) Nope-- didn't fit. (So, isn't Italy part of Continental Europe?) Anyway, the adapter for US grounded plugs is a type L Italian adapter (three prongs), not a type F adapter. Fortunately, I was able to find what I needed at the local grocery store.

A type-C adapter plug can be used in a type-L socket. If any of your devices has a ground plug, get a type-L plug for it.
A type-F socket is not unusual to see, using a type-C plug will work in that case.

Be forewarned, I did rent an apartment in Rome, where the type-C sockets were of a much older generation, and all the plug adaptors that our group had, did NOT fit (pins too thick) except for ONE. That one outlet got a lot of use in our four days there. ;-)

There are indeed a few types of plugs in Italy.
I’ve found extenders and adaptive bits for those awkward ones in the Euro stores in Italy.
Hardware stores would have them too, if you’re stuck.
Take a photo of the plugs in your accommodation before you go to a store for help with them.
