Husband/Wife Traveling Sunday 9/29 from Florence to Positano. Is it best to take the Italo train from Florence to Naples or the Italo train from Florence to Salerno? What are the best options for the second leg of our trip from Salerno to Positano or Naples to Positano? Thanks in advance!

Train -could be Trenitalia or Italo
Train to Salerno
Then ferry or bus to Positano ( change in Amalfi)
Or driver from Salerno

Note: the ferry is of course at water level
From there it is all uphill , steps and stairs to town or your accommodations
You might want to ask your host for your best option
A driver from Salerno will be to your door
Ferry is weather dependent and Positano dock is small so most affected by weather closures

WE just did this trip last week. We took high speed train form Florence to Naples. We had arranged for Positano Taxi service to pick us up at train station and bring us to our Airbnb in Positano. It went seamlessly. $125 euros for the driver to meet us off of the train, help with bags & bring us to Positano. We used them for 7 transfers over 15 days in various locations. No wasted time waiting for taxis, train connections or Ferries.
