Travel insurance?

We've made our airline reservations and have started booking hotels. When do we get travel insurance with a flexible limit as we add reservations and,who is good/reliable?

Go to insuremytrip.com for comparison of policies. Remember you can only insure what you might lose. A non-refundable deposit is cover but not the total cost of the hotel, etc. We are more concerned with good medical insurance and generally do not do much with travel insurance.

CSA Travel Insurance, very reliable. Had to use them for car damage in Provence and in Italy when my son ended up in a Florence children's hospital via ambulance. Their 1-800 assistance and translation services were terrific. I wouldn't travel without them.
