Travel Help Please

I am trying to figure out logistics for a trip in June. The plan is to visit 1.) Rome, then go to 2.) Santa Marinella, then to 3.)Tenuta Di Moniciano, then to 3.) Corniglia, then to 4.) Milan for a day trip to Lake Como. When I use Rome to Rio it looks like train or bus are the options but they take several more hours then the predicted drive time. Any recommendations?

ChristineH's suggestions to start with Google Maps is a good one. It will give you an idea of the different routes . Change the time of departure from morning to afternoon. Sometimes there's one or two routes a day that are significantly simpler logistically.

Go right to the source.

Trenitalia for train travel.

For bus travel

Where a car can travel point to point, some of your more obscure destinations will require changes in trains and/or buses taking a round about way.

Your plan to travel from Santa Marinella to Tenuta di Monaciano is an example. To avoid taking 2 trains plus 2 or more buses to a nearby town, the simplest route would be the late morning train from Santa Marinella to Siena with a connection in Grosseto. Then taking a taxi from Siena to Tenuta di Monaciano.

and disregard anything the wildly inaccurate (but sometimes quite amusing to an outsider who doesn't need the answer) Rome2Rio says. You just don't know when it is feeding you garbage.
