Hello! Me and my two travel buddies are trying to find a way to get from Italy to Rovinj for a day or two.. from what we can tell rental cars in Italy do not let you take a car into Croatia and any ferries I can find are way out of our budget (600 for all three of us round trip.) If you have ANY insight that would be fantastic! Thanks travelers! Kelsey
Kelsey Have you tried the train? A train leaves Venice Santa Lucia station to Trieste 2 hrs. then a train to Pula Croatia - 2 hours from Pula you could rent a car and or perhaps there is a bus.
This is just a city in Italy I chose close to the sea. If you are going from any other city I use plannerint.b-rail.be to plan all my train routes and schedules. Hope this helps
Thanks! I'll look into that.
There are no longer trains running between Slovenia and Italy.
Emilia-Romagna Lines run ferries to Rovinj from both
Ravenna and Cesenatico. Walk-on - no cars.
