Two ways to do this. 1) The SENA bus from the bus station across from the Tiburtina train station in Rome. It's a 3hr. bus trip right to the Siena city wall. 22E. It's a very modern bus but I don't think that there are toilets on board. They make a 2hr stop for toilets. 2) the train. One train change in Chiusi. About 3.5-4.0hrs. Fare is 13.85E-22.80E depending on what type of train you get on. Here's the link to the sample train schedule. http://orario.trenitalia.com/b2c/nppPriceTravelSolutions.do?car=0&stazin=rome&stazout=siena&datag=04&datam=05&dataa=2011&timsh=08&stazin_r=Staz_DA&stazout_r=Staz_A&timsm=43&timsm_r=43&lang=en&nreq=5&channel=tcom&npag=1&lang_r=en&nreq_r=5&channel_r=tcom&npag_r=1&x=33&y=7

I just posted a question on the Transportation board about this. We will be taking the Sena bus from Rome to Siena on May 30. If the ticket is purchased 10 days in advance it's only 10 euros; less than five days in advance, it's 22 euros. I've gone to the website to see about buying the tickets in advance, and can't tell if you actually buy the tickets on the Sena site or just make a reservation. And if you just mnake a reservation, does the 10 day rule apply? In other words, can I make a reservation now for the 10 euro ticket or do I have to actually pick it up 10 days out?
