Travel from Rome to Positano

We will be traveling from Rome to Positano the end of May. I know that we can take a train from Rome to Salerno, and that there is a ferry from Salerno to Positano. But the last time we were in Positano the ferry didn't run due to rough water. If that is the case when we arrive in Salerno, is there a bus from Salerno to Positano? I have looked at a SITA bus schedule and don't see a bus listed. Would we have to take a bus from Salerno to Amalfi and then get another bus to Positano? Any suggestions? I really like the idea of the train from Rome to Salerno - there are many trains and it is fast! What I am concerned about is getting from Salerno to Positano. Thanks for any advice you can give.

Yes, there is a bus from Salerno to Amslfi, then you change to another bus or taxi to Positano.

There is definitely a public bus from Salerno to Positano. We took it the opposite direction and were surprised that the trip didn't take long.
