What is the best way to travel from the Rome airport to Salerno? How do I get from the airport to the train station?
Thanks,

There is a train station at the airport. You can take the Leonardo Express to Rome Termini where you can get a train to Salerno.
Between two and three hours with fares as low as 10 Euro. Costs you more (14 Euro) to get to Termini from the airport.
Of course those 10 EUR fares require non-changeable nonrefundable tickets on the slower IC trains. But if you leave some extra time in Rome, could be a decent gamble. As Clint would say, "Do you feel lucky?"
Everyone is in a rush. The difference between the fast train and the IC is roughly 40 minutes. Is 40 minutes really that critical?
It is better to not lock yourself into a train should your plane be early or late....
I ended up buying tickets on the Eurostar to Rome and then a direct intercity train to Salerno as soon as we got out of the airport, because I didn't feel the need to change trains 2x in the journey, only once....but it might have evened out with the pricing, I just didn't want to deal with more changes than I had to....
