Travel from Pognana Lario ( near lake como )to Tirano

Myself and my husband are travelling to Italy in October and we would be at first living in the Pognana Lario ( near lake como) for a few days before taking the bernina express from Tirano On the 25th Of october. What would be the cheapest and conveninet ( if that is possible:) ) way to get to Tirano from Pognana Lario, we need to take the 2.26 p.m train from Tirano. Also we have already purchased our tickets on the Bernina and are confused as it is mentioned in many places that we need to purchase reservation for this particular train, so now do we have to compulsarily buy the reservation seperately? Any help is much appreciated, Thanks!

Smidsa, what does it say on your tickets? Does it say the ticket is specifically for the train at 14:26 25/10/17?
If it does, then you already have a reservation. It should say vehicl and seat numbers (Wagen & Platz) on the ticket.

It is only the extra Bernina Express train which needs reservations. The normal hourly trains over the same route (Bernina Pass line) do not.

How are you getting to Pognana Lario (which according to my map is on lake Como)?
There is a rail line which runs up the east side of lake Como, from Milan to Tirano and is the usual way of getting to Tirano. If you can backtrack by whichever method of transport you used to get to Pognana Lario, to either Lecco (south east corner of lake), or to Milan, you can get a train from there.
