We are flying from Rome to Palermo and then going to downtown Palermo to get a bus to Trapani.
Does anyone know if there is a bus from Palermo airport to Trapani?
have looked.
The only info I am able to get is that there are buses, but no schedules are ever available nor are the names of the bus companies.

Segesta Autolinee runs most if not all of the buses from Palermo to Trapani. (There are trains, but the route is convoluted and takes a lot longer than a bus.)
Schedules are specific to the day of week and possibly also to the time of year. Not knowing your travel date, I chose a random weekday (Oct 5) and got this schedule:
I don't believe the buses generally stop at the airport, but the 2000 (8 PM) departure has a note indicating it "transits from Palermo airport". I recommend checking all the listed Trapani stops against Google Maps so you can see which is closest to your hotel, then block-print the name of that stop on a piece of paper to show to the driver.

I was thinking of doing the same and found a shuttle service that goes from airport to Trapani. It is more expensive than the bus but much easier after a transatlantic flight. Note that I have not used it.
