Need advice how to get to Sorrento from Napoli Centrale. We are arriving into Naples at 3:35pm by train from Florence. Too many possibilities. We travel with an elderly woman. Then what is the best way to get back to Naples; need to catch a train to Rome at 12pm exactly.

You can take the Campania express to Sorrento at 18:06 from Naples Garibaldi right next door to Centrale.
This way you are certain to get everyone a place to sit. You can buy the ticket as a roundtrip

From Naples central, walk downstairs to the Circumvesuvian. Either take this , or their tourist train the Campania Express to Sorrento. You can take a taxi from Sorrento to Massa Lubrense or a bus from the station area. It just depends how mobile your elderly lady is. Or you might consider a private transfer from Napoli Centrale.
