Our plane arrives in Naples, and our hotel is in Praiano- just east of Positano. It looks like there are two options to get to Praiano;
1) Get bus from airport to Sorrento, the SITA bus from Sorrento to Praiano.
2) Get bus from airport to Naples, train to Salerno, the SITA bus from Solerno to Praiano.
Which is the better option. Thank you.
I think #1 is the better option of the two, more direct and likely considerably quicker, but a lot depends on scheduling and connections. Another option, more expensive but a very worthwhile splurge, is to arrange a car service or even a taxi to take you from the airport directly to your lodging in Praiano. Maybe reasonable depending on how many people in your family or group. Certainly considerably less hassle and much faster to your lodging door, and much quicker to be out enjoying the area. Others may have details, but my guess is that the cost would be about €110.
Larry's in the ballpark on cost for a private transfer. If there's a few of you it's not a bad way to go at all and it sure is easy.
Perhaps your hotel has some ideas.
The Alibus is what most people recommend. However, the under-bus luggage compartment would make me worry.
The Curreri Viaggi bus from NAP- Sorrento 10 E. 1H20m.
Then Sita bus to Praiano.

Note that the Curreri bus to Sorrento drops you off across the street from the SITA bus stop for Amalfi coast. Easy!
