Hi Marcy. Check train schedules on trenitalia.com; use a date in the next seven days as a sample to see all options. For the destination station, use
'S. Margherita Ligure-Portofino'. The train stops at the town of Santa Margherita, which is pleasant. To get to Portofino, take a short bus or boat ride, or enjoy the beautiful hike along the shore (about two miles). Enjoy your trip!

Marcy, Actually, that's a fairly easy trip (I've travelled that route). Take the local train from Manarola to Santa Margherita Ligure. When you disembark, walk through the station and look for a small Bar outside the station on the left side. You can buy a ticket for the boat there. Walk down the stairs from the station, cross the street and head for the water. Go to the right around the shoreline. After a short walk you'll see the boat dock. You may have a short wait. The trip from there to Portofino is only about 20 minutes. Happy travels!

Thanks Ken & Bon for the replys!!! I am so upsetcuz I heard the Via Del Amore is closed because someone was hurt. We will be there in 2 days!!!

Hello Marcy The trail is closed. Can you ask also there is the boat leaving to Portofino on Monday - Wendsday - Friday . Can you come back by boat or by train Have a great time
