Due to poor planning, on October 18/22 I need to travel between Lucca and Genoa, arriving before train leaves at 13:50. Solo traveller, one small bag, do not want to rent a car. Formal car services (with driver) charge up to 300 Euros which exceeds my budget. Don’t need a fancy car. Does anyone know of more economical car service or have any suggestions? Have looked at train and bus service but neither seem to offer times that work. Thanks for any help. Merrilee

9:30 regional to Viareggio then fast train to Genova Piazza Principe arrives 11:50

And to add to what Christine said, you can still get a super economy price on the Freccia portion. 13,90E for the entire trip is quite economical.
