Travel from lake Como in Italy to Interlaken in Switzerland

I am trying to decide if it's feasible to travel from the lake Como area to Tirano Italy and take the Bernina Express to Chur Switzerland. From there I'd like to go to the Interlaken area but I need help figuring out the best way to get there by train. If you could help with the logistics as far as which trains to take ect that would be so helpful. Thank you!

The trains from Lake Como to Tirano all hug the east shore, going through towns like Varenna. They go every hour (almost). Don't worry about he official Bernina Express. The first train in the morning arrives in Tirano too late to get the morning Bernina Express, and if you wait until the afternoon, you will never make it to Interlaken. As it is, it will take at least 9 hours and many train changes.

Start in Varenna-Esino. Use a date before June 8 because the train from Varenna-Esino is not on the schedule right now after that date, but it will be when we get close to June 8. Start at 7:00 am. put in via Tirano, and with advanced search button, via Chur. Destination is Interlaken Ost. This way will then route you to Zurich, then Bern, then Spiez, then Interlaken Ost. If you want to go a more scenic way after Chur, it will take even longer.
