We are traveling on TGV from Paris to Milan and need to connect with another train to Cinque Terre departing from Centrale train station. Anyone know the best/fastest way to do this?

There is a subway line that passes through both stations. Takes 4 min (just one intermediate station between them). Costs €1,50.

The metro in Rome has lots of steps. The best suggestion about navigating it with luggage is, please accept this in the spirit in which it is meant, is to have less luggage. I've never heard anybody who has traveled using trains ever say, "I'll pack heavier next time". The same goes triple for doing it with mass transit.
