I'm missing Italy and so I'm spending time planning our trip this time next year. We plan to spend a few weeks in Puglia and then head across the country to the Amalfi Coast and Capri. I always find it challenging to get east/west across the country in the south. Does anyone know if there is a fairly direct and frequent bus from Bari (or nearby) to Napoli or Salerno? The trains that are of shorter duration depart too late for us.
Try following the transportation-company links on Rome2Rio.com. Do not under any circumstances trust the travel times, frequencies or fares shown on the Rome2Rio website itself. They seem to be works of fiction.
there are several bus companies that provide this service. Try to check-out Flixbus

I see a couple of trains that either leave early, or leave around 13:00 and get into Naples before 17:00.
