Two of us are trying to route train, bus or combo travel from Bari to our final destination, Atrani, on the Amalfi Coast. We would like to leave Bari in the morning but don't know if we should head to Napoli or Salerno for a faster trip. Any suggestions?
You could check rome2rio.com for comparisons of buses and trains.
From Bari Centrale to Salerno is about 4.45-6+ hours, then a bus to Atrani.
From Bari Centrale to Napoli Centrale is 3+ hours, but then you need to take the train (or bus) to Sorrento (1 hour) and the bus to Amalfi (at least another hour), then another bus to Atrani (or take a long walk, with luggage).
Tanks for the reply. Do you happen to know the name of the station in Salerno?
On the Trenitalia site, it lists several stations in Salerno; the choice you want is simply "Salerno".
