ETIAS:
I'm going to Italy (Ischia) on January 8, 2024. Do I need a ETIAS visa and if so, how do I file for one since they're not taking applications now?

There are many other threads on the forum about ETIAS, but it is not starting until at least mid 2025.
No action required for you in January 2024.

The ETIAS website has the official information on dates for implementation. It clearly notes "mid-2025" as the start date (though it has been postponed for years and years). https://travel-europe.europa.eu/etias_en
