I've taken the opportunity to work with counselors several times before the pandemic. Is that still a service that is offered?

If you're talking about in general, yes. An acquaintance of mine just got certified as a travel advisor by both Travel Planners International and Travel Memory Makers (full disclosure, I know nothing about either organization). You can use the Google to find advisors near you. Good luck.
